Very Cool and Comfortable Tonight...Lots of Sun Monday

A cold front that marked the leading endge of cooler and drier air moved through the NYC Tri-State region Sunday afternoon. The temperature is more than 25 degrees cooler this evening from the afternoon highs. It was warm and humid the last couple of days and now it is autumnlike this evening with temperatures falling into the 50s in and around the city to the upper 40s in the far northern and western suburbs. The cold front brought thunderstorms with it and tornado watches and severe thunderstorm watches and warnings were issued. Downed trees occurred in Orange and Rockland Counties.
