Radar continues to show snow falling across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, northern Virginia into the Lower Hudson Valley.  Low pressure will track south of Long Island overnight.  Wet snow will fall in and around the city with mostly wet roads and sidewalks.  The snow will accumulate mainly on cars and grassy surfaces.  North and west of the city where the temperature will be at or below freezing, there will be heavier amounts up to 8 inches.  The snow will end by daybreak on Sunday with sunshine returning.  The temperature is forecast to reach 74 which will be the warmest day so far this winter.  The Arctic Oscillation Index and the North Atlantic Oscillation Index are forecast to turn negative in the next 10 to 14 days which could result in a return to winter weather before Spring begins in a little over a month.
