Mid-Summer Nor'easter Spreading Rain and High Winds Tonight and Sunday Morning in the New York City Tri-State Area...

A summertime Nor'easter is moving northward tonight along the coast. The storm will move into New York State tomorrow morning. Radar indicates a large area of rain from this storm across northern VA, NY, NJ, PA and Long Island, up to 3 inches of rain is possible, a Wind Advisory is in effect for gusts up to 40 mph. High pressure will remain off the New England coast for the next week or so and this will continue to produce a broad southerly flow of air along the East Coast that will produce humid air with scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow through at least next Friday.
