A sharp, fast moving upper-level trough will move through the Northeast this weekend. Low pressure will develop along a cold front but the low will remain relatively weak as it moves rapidly northeast. Light snow will develop late Saturday night. The snow may mix with rain at the start especially over southern NJ. The snow should taper off and end by noon on Sunday. A total of 1 to 3 inches of snow is expected. More Arctic air moves in Sunday night into the middle of next week. A warmup begins late this week with temperatures in the 50s by Thursday.
