Tornado Watch for Late This Afternoon and Evening...Tornado in Queens, NY This Morning.

A Tornado Watch is in effect through 9 PM tonight for the entire NYC metro area. A tornado was confirmed in Breezy Point Queens around 11 AM today. Another twister may have touched down in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Dew points in the 70s combined with a cold front and a strong upper-level jet is produced a line of heavy thunderstorms from southern Quebec to Virginia late this afternoon. Strong winds, hail and dangerous lightning is expected. The potential for a tornado is possible as well. Sunny and nice weather tomorrow and most of next week.
