The weather pattern over the next two weeks will likely produce milder than normal temperatures in the East with below normal temperatures in the Rockies according to the Climate Prediction Center. Areas of low pressure are forecast to move across southern Canada producing showers and thunderstorms over the Midwest, the Great Lakes and the Northeast. Heavy rains will produce flooding in parts of the Southeast over the next couple of days. The GFS model is forecasting a couple of quick, cold outbreaks over the Great Lakes and the Northeast over the next couple of weeks with the possibility of wet snow around the 15th. A strong El Nino is forecast to produce milder than normal temperatures over much of the nation, including Alaska and Canada. Cooler weather is forecast due to El Nino over Texas and parts of the Gulf Coast.
