Hermine Will Stay Just Far Enough Away for a Lesser Impact for the New York Metro Area...

Post-tropical Hermine continues to spin off the coast of New Jersey moving at only 3 mph.  Winds are 70 mph with higher gusts around the center.  The wind has increased slightly early this morning in New York City.  The Tropical Storm Watches have been discontinued except for Long Island and coastal Connecticut. The only potential impacts for the NYC metro area should come primarily coastal flooding.  Dry and warm weather for the rest of the week.  Have a good Labor Day.
