Strong Damaging Winds and Flooding for Christmas Eve, Colder Weather Christmas Day

An unusually strong southerly jet is pushing mild, moist air up the East Coast.  Rain is forecast for Maine into eastern Canada tonight.  Strong low pressure will track into upstate New York early Friday morning dragging a cold front through the Northeast.  The weather will be colder, windy and drier with lake effect snow and scattered flurries and snow showers over New England.  Wind gusts from 50 to 60 mph will occur.  High Wind Warning along the coast and High Wind Advisory inland.  Flood watches are in effect. Have great holiday and New Years.
