Recent GFS runs indicate that the relatively mild and very dry pattern in the Northeast will be changing to much colder weather with the potential of a coastal storm on or around Thanksgiving next week. Meanwhile, a storm will spread rain and snow to the Rockies over the next two days. A surge of Arctic air will move into the Northeast this Sunday and Monday. The GFS forecasts for the NAO and AO indices indicate that the high positive trend will turn to near zero or slightly negative over the next two weeks.
