Super Typhoon Haiyan is Moving Across Northern Vietnam...Up to 10,000 Feared Dead in the Philippines

The storm made landfall on Friday as the strongest typhoon on record with winds of 195 mph with gusts to 235 mph.  Thousands are reported dead from the 10 ft.+ storm surge and strong winds.  The storm is forecast to move across northern Vietnam within the next few hours.  

Rainfall totals from this storm included 11.10" at Surigao City, 7.10" at Maasin City and 6.86 inches in Tayabas City.

Another weaker tropical storm is forecast to affect the Philippines Tuesday night and Wednesday next week.  The winds will not be nearly as strong but heavy rains could affect the areas that were hardest hit yesterday.
