Second Snowfall of the Season for the New York City Metro Area Tonight and Friday Morning...

An upper-level trough and a developing coastal storm will produce light snow tonight into Friday morning. Snowfall amounts will range from 1 to 3 inches with some higher isolated amounts in Southern NJ and Long Island. NAM FOUS for La Guardia is forecasting 0.10" of liquid water equivalent. This would equate to 1 to 2 inches of snow. There is another chance of light snow along the coast Saturday as a strong low passes to the south and east off the coast. Cold, dry air will follow on Sunday and Monday.
