Up to Two Feet of Snow Fell Today in Parts of Northern NJ and Upstate NY...Only 2.5 Inches in Central Park...

The strong Nor'easter produced heavy wet snow that fell at rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour at times. The heaviest snow fell during the late morning into the late afternoon.  Bands of heavy snow rotated around a closed off upper-low as strong low pressure tracked just to the south of Montauk, LI.  The GFS is forecasting another potential coastal storm Sunday night and Monday but not all models are in agreement at this time. Snowfall totals today included: 24.0" Franklin Lakes, NJ, 21.2" Highland Mills, NY, 19.0" Oakland and North Caldwell, NJ, 12.0" Verona, NJ, 4.7" Plainview, NY and 2.5" Central Park.
