Snow Tonight for the New York City Metro Area and Coastal New England...First Day of Spring

Like last year, snow will fall on the first day of Spring.  In Central Park last March 20th, 4.5 inches of snow fell.  There will not be quite as much snow this year in the city but as much as 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected across central and eastern Long Island.  The storm will move northeast later today from tracking just south and east of 40/70 lat./long. by tomorrow morning.  Heavy snow up to 5 to 10 inches is expected over coastal New England including Cape Cod and Boston.  The snow should develop in the city after nightfall and continue through 8 AM Monday morning.  Temperatures will warm into the 60s by Wednesday in the city.
