Sleet, Snow and Freezing Rain Creating Ice in the City, Long Island and Northern and Central New Jersey, Heavy Snow for Boston Tonight...

The 2nd major winter storm in a week is upcoming for Boston as low pressure intensifies later today producing 10 to 14 inches of snow and blizzard or near blizzard conditions tonight and Monday. Snow, sleet and freezing rain occurred this morning into the early afternoon across the New York City metropolitan area.  At 1:00 p.m. Central Park is reporting freezing rain, 32 degrees. The weather will be dry for the remainder of the week in the NYC metro area with near seasonable temperatures. The GFS model is hinting at a significant storm that is likely to produce rain for the city late next week.
