A southerly flow ahead of strong low pressure moving into the Great Lakes will boost temperatures into the 50s and 60s across the Northeast. Rain will be heaviest across the Great Lakes near the track of the low and over the Southeast. More than one inch is forecast for the New York Tri-State region. As the low moves into eastern Canada, it will bring back colder air across the Great Lakes and the Northeast. On Tuesday, a storm is forecast to form near north coastal Florida. Current models are not in agreement with the GFS and the Euro Model being the wettest and farthest west. The CPC keeps the storm offshore. Temperatures will be in the 30s at night and in the 40s during the day so the precipitation especially in New York City and along the coast will be all rain. Inland, there were could be a slushy accumulation especially in the higher terrain of northern New Jersey and the Lower Hudson Valley. The weather looks dry and cold across the Northeast and the Great Lakes for Thanksgiving. It will be very cold and dry in the upper plains with light snow falling across the Great Lakes and the northern Rockies. Showers will be found in the Pacific Northwest with dry weather from California to Florida. Have a great Thanksgiving.
