Light Snow Tonight and Thursday Morning for the New York City Metro Area...

An "Alberta Clipper" low pressure system will track rapidly across Pennsylvania and New Jersey on Thursday morning.  Radar shows light snow falling from western New York, across Pennsylvania into the New York City metro area as of midnight.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for eastern Pennsylvania, central and western New Jersey and Long Island for up to 3 inches of snow.  One to 2 inches of snow is expected for the city. It has been a colder than normal December so far in the city with near normal snowfall for the first time since December 2013.
