A tropical low is forecast to track up the eastern coast of the US through Friday afternoon. The NWS has issued a High Wind Warning for southerly winds gusting to 50 to 60 mph here in the NYC metropolitan area including southern CT, northeastern NJ and all of Long Island. A Wind Advisory is in effect elsewhere. The rain will be heavy at times through Friday morning. Radar shows a huge area of rain across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic States.
