Blizzard Warning Continues for New York City, Long Island, CT and Coastal New England for Tonight...

Blizzard Warnings remain in effect for NYC, Long Island, CT, RI, eastern MA and coastal Maine.  Boston could receive its greatest snowfall on record for a single storm.  Latest model guidance (NAM, GFS) is indicating that snowfall amounts will be on the lower end of the current 10 to 14 inch total snow forecast in New York City.  The NAM model from 7:00 AM for La Guardia is producing about one inch of liquid water equivalent which could produce about 10 inches for the city.  The 7:00 AM GFS appears to be taking the heavier precipitation just east of the city across Long Island and CT into southeast New England.  The precipitation will change back to snow by 3 PM today for most locations near the coast and heavy snow is forecast tonight has the storm "bombs out" about 100-150 miles southeast of Long Island.  The worst of the storm will be this evening though 4 AM Saturday for New York City and through the afternoon up in Boston.
