Snow in New York City Today...Up to a Foot of Snow in Connecticut This Morning

The snow continues to wrap around the oceanic storm that is now about 400 southeast of Cape Cod. Up to a foot of snow will fall in Connecticut with up to 20 inches in portions of eastern Massachusetts. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect and this morning, the warning was extended to Nassau County in Long Island and southern Westchester and Fairfield Counties. The snow will taper off and end this afternoon in the New York City metro area and this evening in Boston. The roads and sidewalks are slushy now in Manhattan.The temperature has been increasing and is now 32 in Midtown.  Snow is falling at 11:40 a.m. in Midtown.  It is 32 in Central Park at 11 AM and at all the area airports with the exception of La Guardia where it is 33.
