Expect icy road conditions this evening across a large portion of the New York-New Jersey metropolitan area.  Three to 8 inches of snow will fall across northern Virgina and Maryland with 2 to 3 inches in Philadelphia.  Frederick, Maryland reported 8 inches of powdery snow.  Light snow began across northeastern New Jersey and in Midtown Manhattan at around 3:45 p.m. today.  The snow will mix with sleet and freezing rain before changing to all rain by midnight along the coast and in the city but not until tomorrow morning across the interior.  Models indicate very cold air and a chance of light snow on Tuesday and next Sunday/Monday in the New York City metropolitan area.
