The snow missed yesterday's Super Bowl by less than 12 hours. It was in the 50s yesterday afternoon in the New York City metropolitan area but last night a cold front moved through and low pressure tracked to the south off the coast of Delaware. A heavy, wet snow developed around daybreak and continued into the mid to late afternoon. A total of 8 inches of snow fell in Central Park. Another storm will spread snow, sleet, freezing rain and rain to the Northeast on Tuesday and Wednesday with the potential for a stronger storm for the weekend or early next week.
