First Accumulating Snow of 2015 for New York City Today, Coldest Air of the Season this Week...

Light snow this morning has covered the streets in Manhattan for the first time this season. The temperature in Central Park at 10 am is 19 degrees. A low of 7 degrees is forecast for the City by Thursday morning with wind chills as low as 10 below zero. The low Wednesday night in Chicago is forecast to be -7 with a low of -9 in Indianapolis. The snow will be heaviest across Southern NJ and the Ohio Valley with up to 3 inches falling in New Jersey and as much as 7 inches in parts of Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Maryland. The snow will tapered to occasional snow showers tonight. The weather is forecast to be very cold through the first half of the weekend.
