Major Blizzard Tonight and Tuesday from New Jersey to Maine, Wind Gusts to 70 mph, 4 Foot Drifts, 1 to 3 Feet of Snow Expected...

Streets are starting to become snow covered at 3 PM in Times Square.  Radar shows snow falling across southern New England, the New York metro area, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.  Latest computer guidance continues to show some inconsistencies with the Euro model producing 12 to 18 inches across the area with some models producing less snow.  The greatest snowfall is expected to fall across Connecticut and Long Island up into coastal New England.  More than 2 feet of snow is forecast for Boston.  The worst of the storm will be tonight and Tuesday morning for New York City and then Tuesday into Tuesday night for New England.  Winds gusts are forecast to be near 70 mph in Boston during this storm.  Downed trees and power lines may lead to power outages.  There will be travel bans in many localities tonight and Tuesday. Be safe during this major storm.
