Strong Storms Forms an Eye Off the NJ Coast

An eye has developed in the storm which does happen with some of the strongest snowstorms such as the February 1978 storm. The satellite images from about 6 PM this evening (Feb. 10, 2010) indicate what appears to be an eye in this storm. Of course, since this storm did not originate in the tropics, it is not a tropical storm. The bands of snow from this storm are weakening this evening but light snow will continue through about midnight with an additional 1 to 3 inches possible.
