Winter Storm Warning for NYC Metro Area...Heavy Wet Snow, Sleet and Rain...







The storm that is developing across the Southeast has produced a large area of rain and thunderstorms along the coast down there. Winter Storm Warnings are in effect for PA, NYC, CT, northern and central NJ, CT and upstate NY. The rain/snow line is forecast to move into Nassau County and along the Jersey Shore and northeastward to New London County, CT. Look for 3 to 5 inches near the coast, up to 10 inches in the city and up to 18 to 22 inches in the northwest suburbs and ski resorts. The storm will be centered near NYC Friday at 7 AM and there will be light snow falling at that time. The winds will gust to 40 or 50 mph at times. More updates to follow.
